The December Antic Follies night of Cabaret, Burlesque, Comedy and Swing at Jamboree. “…the dirty alternative to Soho’s glitz, a diabolical night of cabaret and burlesque. Experience the rusty harbour glamour of Limehouse and the magic junk-shop contours of Jamboree, whilst the Antic Follies roster of cabaret and burlesque performers titillate and tease.”

Guest performers include:

Chris Lynam!
With an exquisite grasp of the grotesque, Chris Lynam has been subverting the traditions of the stand-up for more than 30 years. His reputation for unpredictable comic mayhem has propelled him to the four corners of the globe.

“Surreal unhinged quality which makes for comic greatness.” – The Guardian
“As well as being technically excellent, it’s genuinely perverse and absurd – equal parts David Lynch, Samuel Beckett and Looney Tunes.” – The Scotsman
“The funniest man on the planet.” – Eddie Izzard

Michael Brunström!

Michael Brunström is an alternative comedian based in London. He devises and performs surreal stunts and skits. These have titles such as: “What If Noel Edmonds Were a Cello?”, “The Ironic Trowel”, “The Mystery of Fennel”, “Hula Hoop Hamlet”, “Homage to Sir Alexander Fleming” and “Gargling the Gettysburg Address While Nailing Grapes to Ted Cruz’s Face”

He has written and performed four full-length shows at the Edinburgh Fringe:
“The Human Loire” (2014)
“The Golden Age of Steam” (2015)
“The Hay Wain Reloaded” (2016)
“Parsley” (2017)

He is a regular member of the Weirdos Collective (Chortle Award nominees 2013 & 2016, DLCF Liberty Award nominees 2016). He’s performed for the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society, Laugh Out London, Knock2Bag and many more.

‘Sense-bendingly entertaining . . . great, crazy, never to be forgotten comedy.’ – SCOTSMAN

‘An artistic genius . . . a ramshackle, surrealist delight.’ SKINNY

He is also a winner of the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality, 2015

Jerry Bakewell!
One half of the wrestling and comedy duo The Fabulous Bakewell Boys. Former stars of the golden age of British wrestling (allegedly), northern grapplers Jerry and Steakley Bakewell – The Fabulous Bakewell Boys – turned to the working men’s club circuit after wrestling was booted off television and money became tight.

With the showmanship and charm you might expect from star turns from a bygone era, the Bakewells bring their brand of double act mayhem wherever they go, unwaveringly trying their hand at (almost) anything. Resident luchadores at the critically-acclaimed caberet siniestro show Lucha Britannia, the Bakewells are also available for cabaret, stand-up, live events, weddings, funerals and Bar Mitzvahs.

Plus performances from regulars:

Luce Lemons!Fire and Hula Hoop performance artiste

Dominic Jones and Jake Stevens! – sketch comedy and cabaret weirdos.

Tom Baker! Accordionist, louche cabaret impressario and disturbing ventriloquist.

And a set from one of our regular house bands The Bohemianauts:

“The Bohemianauts get your feet moving with their demi-monde accordion-led decadence and bastard cabaret carnivalism. Expect Polka, Tango, Waltz and Gypsy Swing with songs about vodka, David Icke, the end of the world and unrequited dread.”
