A blood-curdling party with comedy and cabaret acts including the multi-award-winning Charlie Partridge and Cheelykita, and live music from The Bohemianauts, playing Gypsy vaudeville and bastard cabaret with songs of unrequited dread.
Regular house band for Antic Follies, and the legendary Glastonbury Underground Piano Bar, The Bohemianauts return to Jamboree in their largest incarnation since the venue’s re-launch – a 5-piece ft Tom Baker (accordion/vocals), Rafael Lijtman (guitar/vocals), Nick Doyne-Ditmas (bass/vocals), Joplin Parnell
and Jules Hood (saxaphone). A bohemianaut is one who travels through uncharted spaces towards some notion of “bohemia”, and this band are a mutable combo of such travellers, playing and singing as they go.
Ace comedian Charlie Partridge has produced and performed in events in New York, Paris, Colorado, Nice, St Tropez, Elba, aboard a yacht in the Mediterranean, in secret tunnels under London and even in a Bavarian Castle accessed by helicopter! He has written immersive shows for the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Roald Dahl estate and Penguin Books, forged bespoke Gameshows, quizzes, murder mysteries, city-engulfing all-night treasure hunts, cabaret shows, clown workshops, bingo shows and even a fashion show for dogs! Tonight he takes on Halloween! “Packed with laughs” – Fringe Guru
There will also be cabaret with the following cast!
Cheekykita! A multi-award winning Comedian, Cheekykita has shared bills with Alan Davies, Robin Ince, Simon Munnery, Tony Law, Harry Hill, Spencer Jones, and many more, and appeared at The BBC tent at Edinburgh festival.
“Like Alice in Wonderland on Adderall… curious, shambolic and kind of magical” – The List
“An anarchic clowning act more developed and skilled at working her room , The Universe ‘N’ Stuff often feels like dress up madness taken to the edge” – British Comedy Guide
H.P. Lovebox! The cathonic crooner joins us fresh from his sell-out residency at the Qlipthotic Lounge in dread R’lyeh. This unique cabaret presentation will inspire and delight – or terrify – depending on where you stand on the cultist divide. Not for the faint hearted. May cause madness.
Apple Tart as Dirty Bertie! This disturbingly familiar walking liquorice person (and friend) will wander the venue, bringing a new perspective to the whole “trick or treat” concept…
Dominic Jones! Cabaret regular, singing obsessive, literary songs about sex, death and mysticism that strike the fine line between humour and darkness.
