A monthly evening of beautiful traditional Manouche and Romani Gypsy music, early jazz and bebop, original music and Django classics, at the hands of Kamao Quartet.

For this special edition, the Kamao Quartet is excited to feature the wonderful musician Simon Roth from the ace Vula Viel and Elliot Galvin Trio on drums!

“Kamao” means “I like/ I want/ I love” in Romani dialect.

The Kamao Quartet take their inspiration from the legacy of the great Django Reinhardt and traditional Manouche and Romani (gypsy) music. Their repertoire ranges from hot swinging jazz, to traditional manouche songs, original compositions, jazz songs and occasionally Brazilian Choro.
