A fantastic Friday night of 1940s and ’50s rhythm’n’blues with The Cosimo Matassa Project!
Headliners The Cosimo Matassa Project conjure the unique rhythm‘n’blues flavours that emerged from New Orleans in the late 1940s and early 1950s. At the core of the band are pianist and arranger Al Dunn (Loudon Wainwright / Richard Thompson) and singer and double bassist Dai Price (Dai & The Ramblers). Playing tunes by well-known artists from that era such as Fats Domino and Big Joe Turner, the band also like to unearth lesser-known gems by the likes of Clarence ‘Frogman’ Henry, Dave Bartholomew and Tami Lynn, as well as throwing in a few of their original songs.
In support, Graham Farnworth is an ace blues/ folk musician from the North of England bringing the Delta Blues!
Jamboree Food Option: Our ‘Arepatoire’ kitchen is open from 6pm serving a delicious mix of Italian/Colombian food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish! Find the menu HERE!
