Jamboree welcomes back the popular Des Was a Bowie Fan clubnight with special guests the blazing Pop riot that is Charla Fantasma, the sweet Baltimore indiepop band Expert Alterations and brilliant noise-pop band Flemmings…

Charla Fantasma go hand in hand with the most shit-kicking riot grrrl bands, shimmering away in the gaps between Bikini Kill and Sleater Kinney with two and three-part vocals, heartbooming guitar lines and a bang bang rock’n’roll, Ramones-esque electricity.

Baltimore’s Expert Alterations are “…a breathless rush of post-punk angularity, jittery indie pop songcraft, and stripped-down guitar-bass-drums-vocals punk energy” (allmusic.com)

Flemmings have a tender, shimmering and ferocious sound falling into an enchanted land between Sonic Youth and the Pixies.

Then from 11 through till 3am it’s dancing with Des Was a Bowie Fan: indiepop, new wave, synth-pop, rock’n’roll, 60s girl groups, Motown, Northern Soul, Gypsy Dance and Hot Swing; from Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Cab Calloway and The Supremes through to The Smiths, Blondie, Pulp, Le Tigre, Belle and Sebastian and Veronica Falls.
