Line-up for Sunday July 28th:
12.30pm – Folk Song Singalong Workshop
1.30pm – Jennie Higgins – a traditional folk singer and historian known for her acappella traditional arrangements of folk songs that tell women’s stories.
2.50pm – 9 Dead Mice – a foot-stomping folk trio with virtuosic violin and modern arrangements of traditional tunes and songs.
4.10pm – Rob Heron & the Tea Pad Orchestra – the band have been gleefully trampling over genre boundaries for over a decade, chucking Western Swing, Blues, Country, Rock & Roll, Soul and more into their musical gumbo, but always sounding mostly just like themselves.
5.45pm – The Alice Phelps Band – Alice is a classical cross-over double bassist and singer creating genre-bending music for curious minds. A multi-instrumentalist and leader of an ethereal harp centric collective, with music influenced by folk from near and far, Irish to Chinese, she blends this with non-traditional and blues-infused melodies.
7.05pm – Adam Beattie and Fiona Bevan – Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist Beattie has become a celebrated musician of the London scene. Having roots in Scottish folk music, as well as a lifelong interest in old time jazz, blues and other folk styles, his music spans many genres, but is all held together by Adam’s distinctive voice and narrative lyrics. Bevan is an ace English singer-songwriter from Suffolk. She co-wrote the song “Little Things” for One Direction with Ed Sheeran which became a number-one single in 13 countries and received a BMI award for the single.
8.30pm – Dizraeli – rapper, poet and musician from Bristol. Though rooted strongly in hip-hop traditions, his work draws inspiration from old folk music, recognising the common ground shared by songs of the people from any point in history.
10.00pm – The Percolators – Rhythm and Blues, Trad Jazz and great fun!
