Introducing:
The Juniper Tree by Marta Paula
A theatre play re-interpreting the famous Grimms’ tale.
Juliet & Romeo by Chris Knight and Eddie White (Credo Puppet Company)
Juliet & Romeo presents a dark, whimsical side to the Shakespearian classic you may have never thought of. A
reimagining of the relentless romance, with just a balcony, two puppets and a superstar narrator. With a stripped back set this show focuses on the narrative of the story. Not that easy in just fifteen minutes… From start to finish you are witness to absurdity, animals and a whole lotta smooth talking. The show explores how close we should hold this tale to our hearts, drawing out the seedier side to Shakespeare. The hunt for love is on!
When She Starts to Play by Viktoria Brooksby
What happens when old myths find their way into the present something long hidden begins to stir? And when she starts to play… will it be a haunting, or a homecoming?
Descent (written and performed by Abi Kalsi-Rolfe / starring Jasper Rolfe and Wilf Horsfall)
A (somewhat manic) political cabaret exploring cosmic rebirth, female liberty, shared humanity, a few of earth’s foul things, and what it means to fall.
Wallowed With Shuck by Anayis N. Der Hakopian / starring Sam Hegedus and Lloyd Lovell
In a starved farming landscape, a young man starts to feel a swirl of defeating darkness bleed into the land from his working hands. Whilst a shadow of a hound from the hills stalks the edge of his vision. Wallowed in Shuck is a lyrical verse play that reinterprets the Black Hound myth as a metaphorical preach for a deteriorating landscape stirred from the depressed-set minds that shape the earth. This narrated haunting confession explores the generational grief and weight of keeping good will, with a pair of smoked eyes that seek to aid in solace within that darkness.
