It’s our monthly late-night party, and the annual Des Was a Bowie Fan Christmas Special on the Jamboree dancefloor, festive classic-tinged indiepop, new wave, 60s soul and rock’n’roll till 3am, with live music from the critically-acclaimed Blondie / Breeders-esque The Drink, and country-punk / Pop wizards Suggested Friends.

9.45 – 10.30: The Drink are a dreamy, magical mystery tour of a Pop band, evoking distant notions of medieval folk whilst whipping up a dancing storm one part Blondie’s Heart of Glass, another The Breeders’ Cannonball. “The Drink subtly, sumptuously blend indiepop with ancient folk, African music, disco, dream-folk and psych, whipping up a dancing storm of unlikely and utterly immersive harmonies”.

Last summer they kicked up the shit in the hot sun of Green Man and End of the Road, and are now heading towards their 3rd LP.

8.45 – 9.15: Suggested Friends have touches of dreamy twee Pop electricity, emo power and an ace punk-country jangle. The band are freshly signed up as of this week to the red-hot London / Cardiff DIY label Odd Box Records.
