A Friday night of early 20th century ragtime, blues and jazz with the brilliant Rigmarollers!
Featuring Ed Hopwood (vocals, harmonica, percussion, guitar), Julian Marshall (guitar, fiddle, mandolin) and Ewan Penkey (sousaphone), The Rigmarollers bring their unique take on the blues. A trio with a massive sound, they put vocals, harmonica, guitar and sousaphone over an irresistible backbeat. Over the last year they have made the leap to festival headliners, and released ’21st Century Speakeasy Music’’ LP last year. “A joy” – Bournemouth Echo
Support on the night comes from musical explorers and eclectic Acoustic Roots duo Mambo Jambo, roll up with their tour bus packed with instruments, bringing an upbeat mash-up of styles, with magically-crafted elements of roots, jazz, world and folk. The band features Pete on guitar, banjo, vocals, accordion, Cuban tres, and ukulele and Frankie on sax, vocals, clarinet, flute. And between them all lies all kinds of percussion! The duo have played venues and festivals all over the UK and internationally.
Jamboree food option: Our ‘Zer’ kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish! Find the menu HERE!
