LE GAZHIKANE MUZIKANTE

Drawn together by a strong passion for the musical tradition of the Romani Gypsies, Antonio Riva and his musicians play original arrangements of traditional folk songs from South Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean area. Intimate, haunting and passionate, with simple yet idiomatic melodies and complicated exotic rhythms; a beautiful Eastern Folk sound is weaved with a rich and oriental undercurrent.

OPAZ

Creating a wild and expressive sound, OPAZ plays music in the Romani (Gypsy) style from Turkey and other parts of the North-Eastern Mediterranean. Drawing from the colourful hotchpotch of music that constitutes the Roma tradition, the band strives to capture the nomadic soul and creative power that lies within the emotive melodies and driving rhythms. Always providing an entertaining show, this ensemble plays spirited music in celebration of life.
