Every Monday East London’s most talented buskers come together and curate an evening of Folk, Roots, Blues, Gypsy Jazz & Americana.

JARDARES POR FUERA

Formed in 2009, ‘Jardares por Fuera’ fuses old style Flamenco with Hip Hop, Reggae, Rumba and Swing in a fresh mix of simplicity and extravagance.

The band comprises a group of London based Spanish musicians:

Davinia Baño on vocals and Pablo Dominguez on the guitar are joined by the lead singer of ‘Mano de Dios’, Jackson Scott (vocals and guitar), Gori Matas on the piano and accordion, Ayoze Hernandez on the cajon and drums and Joe James on the Bass.

They are constantly collaborating with musicians from the local scene to develop their very unique style.
The name ‘Jardares por Fuera’ comes from a local expression of Murcia (Spain) that stands for an un-tucked shirt, a symbol of the unconventional, staying outside the rules.

WHISKEY MOON FACE FEAT.  MIKE ‘MAGIC’ HENRY

Louisa Jones explores folk music originating in various parts of the world, with a nod to Eastern European folk. Her style is distinctively unique, yet identifies with many a folk and jazz appreciating taste. Their music reveals influences from early 20th century jazz, vaudeville blues, rag-time and north Indian classical music.

Louisa Jones is the lead singer of Whiskey Moon Face whose voice is like a soothing baritone wisp, captivating you in her velvety yet raw and warm range of blues infused melodies. This combined with the Roma gypsy sound of the Accordion, Ewan Bleach’s hypnotic and virtuosic clarinet playing makes for a enchanting blend.

This evening Louisa will be accompanied by legendary Jazz trumpeter Mike ‘Magic’ Henry!
